Spring – 2024

Spring in the apiary is a time of intense work for bees and beekeepers, with phacelia, rapeseed and fruit trees in bloom, and new hope for the season ahead.

Spring is in full swing, and our apiary is buzzing with life. It is a special time when everything awakens, and the bees are working intensely. We would like to share with you what is happening here during this magical season.

Phacelia and rapeseed in bloom

In spring, the bees make the most of the abundance offered by flowering phacelia, one of their favourite nectar-rich plants. Its beautiful blue flowers attract the bees, which eagerly collect nectar and pollen.

Walking among them, we feel as if we are in a paradise garden. Our bees work from dawn until dusk, and we can hardly wait for the first honey, which is always very popular among our customers.

Rapeseed is also beginning to bloom in the nearby fields. Its bright yellow flowers are not only a feast for the eyes, but also a rich source of nectar. Bees love rapeseed, and we are happy to see them so devoted to their work.

Rapeseed honey, which we harvest in spring, is one of our most treasured products – delicate, creamy and full of beneficial properties. It is definitely my favourite variety :).

Intense work for bees and beekeepers

Our insects are incredibly busy – from morning until evening they fly around collecting nectar and pollen, building combs in the hives and caring for the young bees. Their dedication and hard work are amazing.

We also have our hands full. We regularly check the condition of the hives, make sure the bees are properly fed, add new frames and monitor the health of our bee colonies.

Each day brings new challenges, but also the satisfaction of work well done. We can see our bees growing stronger and preparing for the months ahead, full of blossom.

Spring in our apiary is a time of hope and new beginnings. Watching the bees come back to life, and seeing phacelia, rapeseed and fruit trees in bloom, brings us great joy.

Every day is full of small wonders of nature, which remind us that our work has deep meaning.

Thank you for being with us and following our spring story.

See you in the next post, where we will share more events from our apiary!
